This is one of the two largest annual national coin shows. If you read Dutch, there's more information here. The next show is on 15th September 2007.

Together with some 2000 other visitors, I was there. No waiting lines at the entrance!
Inside two spacious halls with nicely lined up stands of traders from all over the world. In spite of the crowd all stands could be approached easily.
Coins of all times and places were on offer in plenitude, from ancient coins to nowadays' world coins. Also plenty of medals, banknotes, numismatic books and catalogs, collection storage materials, too much to mention. A treat for all!
Those who could have gone to Assen but didn't may as well start pulling their hairs out! ;)

Thanks for the report, a3v1. I am encouraged to go there next year. Maybe the "day of the coin" organizers could study the methods of the Assen organizers. The lines there are too terrible to behold. I wish I could have gone to Assen, but the state of scientific play in the area of cell division did not allow me to split myself up yet.
