Today I came across this piece of Niue. I have never before seen the use of D G (Dei gratia) without the 'Reg' (Regina). Neither on coins of Niue nor on coins of any other issuer. I suppose it may possibly be a mistake. All other variants of this collectors coin have "Elizabeth II • Niue Island" as inscription on their obverse.

Oh, that Christmas coin made from Lapland gold! ;) Funny, I had read about that but did not really look at the inscription. Yeah, definitely odd, and probably a mistake. By ... the London Mint Office?
