Issue limit for the coloured coins is just 1,000 - all in the cards I presume.
always willing to trade modern UK coins for modern coins from elsewhere....

Interinstgly the Tower Mint article says "the worlds first solid gold 2020 Christmas 50p", however it seems that both in 2018&2019 Pobjoy issued a 22ct gold Christmas 50p for GiB.

Maybe Treasury informed previously about coloured coins only - they seems to be issued only on cards, not for circulation...
I checked again Tower Mint news and it looks that they wrote in October about production of circulation coins (and gold 50p!) for Gibraltar:

Please see also photo on bottom of article and the text on stand between two men. It confirm that Tower Mint os producent od circulation coins for Gibraltar.

That is the edition limit. Usually that figure is not the same as the mintage of the coin.

So possible that can be something like with Breast Cancer where initial issue limit was also 1000 pieces and after few next issues final mintage was probably 10k. Is it?
It would be a great info as I still try to obtain these coins... I already had in my basket all 4 versions but when going to checkout & payment details it was already sold out (of course adding coin to card is almost immposible due to website down).

Westminster Collections (Group 288) started to sell these coins as a pair of 50p & 2pounds - price is 13,50 pounds, coins in dark blue packaging like their BUNC coins, however these are only UNC.
Coins avaliable only for UK customers (not yet on their international website).

The coloured ones are occasionally suddenly available in the webshop of the Gibraltar National Mint during the nights. Over the course of the last few days people have occasionally been able to order at times like 3am and 5am.

Indeed, but tonight it seems the mint's eshop is back with no technical difficulties arising  anymore, however the Christmas coins were all out of stock a few minutes ago when I checked. This might explain why the unbearable load on the server which has been experienced over the past few days is hopefully gone.

The remaining stock of coin dealer Gibraltar Stamps and Coins will become available in their webshop on December 3. They will not have any coloured coins available.

Looks that everything is sold out now... I checked multiple times during the day but also needed to work... and it looks that this was released & sold out quite quickly.
