You've got to hand it to the Mexicans...they have cool coin designs!  1969 50 centavos.  Pretty nice.

That's Cuauhtémoc. He lived in interesting times. He is very popular in Mexico. His statue is in the Paseo de la Reforma in Mexico City.

Been there, seen those monuments. ;D  The one in Paseo de la Reforma even has the names of several Aztec rulers; what you can (sort of) read in the attached image is "Tetlepanquetzal". Not that much easier ...
