Luxembourg 2020: Bistorta officinalis
« on: May 07, 2020, 07:43:19 AM »
This year's €5 collector coin from "Flora and Fauna of Luxembourg" series commemorates Bistorta officinalis. It's nordic gold-silver bimetallic, surcharged as usual. Mintage: 3000. Issue Price: €50.

The coin was supposed to get released in April, but not issued yet, apparently because of Covid-19 situation.

That coin can now be purchased - as you wrote, it costs €50. For that amount you will get the piece in an individually numbered blister pack ...

Also, the 2020 BU set has been issued, with the "City of Remich" theme. The set costs €36 and includes the circulation pieces as well as the commemorative €2 coin dedicated to Prince Henri of Orange-Nassau who was "governor" of Luxembourg.

Thanks for the update - was about to post the same!

The silver-nordic gold collector coin is definitely in my wish list. :) Never collected the Luxembourgish BU sets (still have couple of those from early years of introduction) before they became too expensive...
