The person depicted on the coin does according to them, not at all look like David Bowie. Also, as it is part of the Music Legends Series, some found it an odd choice to depict a person on the coin while the other coins in the series do not depict people.

Thank you, eurocoin. It is traditional that living persons are not depicted on UK coins unless they are royalty. Mr Bowie has of course been dead for some time now.

Maybe not a great likeness of the man, but still recognisable.
