Are these showing up in social media collector groups like the R stamps we discussed on the Troubled Coins thread, eurocoin? Apparently, they're being seen more frequently, but so far I haven't foind any on auction sites. Probably not enough interest in them I suppose.

Yes, the images are all from the posts of collectors on the collectors groups on social media. Mainly Facebook but if I happen to come across reports on Twitter, Reddit or Instagram I include them too. I think that people are not really aware that there are people who specifically collect this and are possibly willing to pay more than face value for the pieces. What I also see is that collectors like to keep their odd finds like altered coins or foreign coins in their collection, even although they normally don't collect these kind of pieces.

As for the Scottish independence coins, I only know of the 6 pieces in this topic. The R is much more common.

I have a Facebook account but don't use it. Maybe I'll have to get on there and see if I can pick up a coin or two of each.

I went in yesterday and dusted off my Facebook account, eurocoin. I joined a discussion group for collectors who have an interest in British coins...I think. ;D

I'm surprised that I haven't come across any of these on auction sites. I check them all, sometimes several times a day for anything interesting or unusual. Nothing ay all for these Scottish independence pieces...for or against.
