Medieval indeed, because of the short cross. Spain is unlikely, as I am not aware of bracteates from Spain.

Bracteates are most common in Northern and Central Europe. There's not much to go on on this one, though.

It appears to be a Polish brakteat, from 1058 to 1100, as there are several with the same type of cross without ornaments
