Engraved Victoria Crown
« on: August 08, 2020, 08:26:02 PM »
I have a nice Victoria Crown, dated 1890. The obverse of which is grouond off and engraved, in an ornamental style with:

LEWIS | FROM | AUNT LEAH

Certainly a nice present. Probably used to hang from a watch chain.

Very nice engraving, Henk. I see quite a few engraved British silver coins, and some copper, most very well done.

It makes you wonder how some of these family keepsakes became separated from their owners. Aunt Leah was obviously very fond of her nephew.
