Satavahanas, Kausikiputra Siri Satakarni, Potin

Satavahanas, Kausikiputra Siri Satakarni, Nasik Region, Potin Unit,
7.03gm, 21.3 mm
Obv: Elephant walking to right trunk upraised, four circles joined without cross bar and kumbh above Elephant, around Brahmi legend '(Rajno Kochiputasa) Siri Satakani(sa)',
Rev: Tree in railing with bold leaves within circle.
Ref: I. K. Sharma pl. VII, B20.

I loved the condition of the coin. Apart from the clipping on one edge, this one looks like struck in recent times. IT have a bit of green stuff and is kept under observation though.

Thanks,
Saikat

I like the specimen, but your photo with the oblique lighting really adds to the beauty of its appearance !

Anthony,
Thanks. I use artificial lights (a cheap LED light) and my opinion is lighting up the subject clears up the picture. Also the shadows highlight the uneven parts, making the picture more readable. I take pictures from very acute angle. Natural light does not allow me that flexibility.
Thanks,
Saikat
