My best guess would be a car wash token. Many gas stations have car washes, and I can't think of anything else that might need a token at a gas station, apart possibly from the air pump for tyres.

There is no company on Santorini named Santo Oil or similar. There is a US brand of olive oil called Santorini. This would explain the dollar sign and the token looking too expensive for a car wash. Santorini produces olive oil, but, although the label claims the oil is Greek, I found no olive oil facility called Santorini on Santorini. Geographical names on US labels are notoriously unreliable.

An interesting token, Alex. I'm a little confused by the value...1$oc. Maybe a car wash token at the gas station as FosseWay thinks or good for something in their store (if they have one there).
