Dear maudry, second photo shows mint place which looks like one of those mints:
Kirman, Tehran, Isfahan, Tabaristan or Dadiyan (Georgia).
داديان , طبرستان , اصفهان , طهران , كرمان

Coin collecting has a curious name. It is also called the "Hobby of Kings".

struck and re-struck may be twice ? that makes it very difficult to identify...
however, the mintname is quite fully present : Jalalabad / جلالابد
ref S. Album 681 (Ashmolean museum)
"All I know is that I know nothing" (Socrates)

I trust you are right, saro. Even with the overlay, the connection between what is on the coin and the transcript is ... uhh ... not really self-evident to me, though. :-\

An unidentified coin is a piece of metal. An identified coin is a piece of history.

Thank you Saro; I went for a mint with " N ن " as end letter. But " Jalal Abad جلال آباد " (a city in eastern Afghanistan) is correct.

and yet that's right, I'm sure.
Civic coppers of this mint  are scarce and in poor condition with multi strikes, it seems that none have been struck on new blanks : a cuckoo mint  :D
A consolation for Maudry : the coins in the Ashmolean museum are not really in better grade  ;)

Thanks Maythem, things were not at all clear and suggestions are always welcome and the best way to progress.

That may be one of the reasons why the civic coppers of this mint are scarce.
