I'm sure many of you received this message of Steve Album, but it's certainly worth mentioning here:

"We are happy to announce that we have decided to make Stephen Album's Checklist of Islamic Coins, 3rd Edition (2011) available as a free PDF download from our website. We hope that many of you will find this to be a useful resource during these difficult times, and in your future research and collecting."
This page is where you can identify the list you possibly already have, and it contains also the download of the Third Edition of the Checklist. The various types of text are all in functional colors, a lively sight.

The best of this is the search function Control-F (for instance, I just found that this rare Qarakhanid is the only Islamic coin using 'al-Kushani' for Kesh as a mint name). You can compare names of rulers and places, it's really great, and a thank you to Steve Album is fitting!

Also thanks Paul (and to Steve Album for making it available!) I have the hard copy of course, but now I can have this PDF on the laptop with my databae which I carry around to fairs.

Indeed it is great, I also heard that the 4th edition will be also published as a free pdf (and still there will be a hardcopy for purchase)
