please help with the definition of another coin - 8.11 grams 21.5mm

saro

here is something difficult !!
Such coarse overstruck looks afghan  ???  however, it seems to me, after a 180° rotation,  that the left picture shows a sunface with some remaining rays from the host coin and the word falus from a second strike. This design would lead more to a persian host coin ?

maybe a double hit, with a rotation ... maybe the right image can be rotated? oriented the stripes in the "node of happiness" ...

Dear mkm1968, in second photo the inscription looks like " Zarb Shiraz ضرب شيراز " at 4 O'clock.

Maythem
Coin collecting has a curious name. It is also called the "Hobby of Kings".

I wonder if the complicated geometric design couldn't be a stylistic calligraphy  of the mintname : "Kabul" (dar al-sultanat ??)
"All I know is that I know nothing" (Socrates)

saro

I am quite certain that it is a stylised version of that :

Thank you Saro, it could very well be Kabul, Shiraz was a guess based on traces of letters on the coin.

Than you Maythem, this coin has been struck and re-struck... may be twice ? I don't know if this design is from the host coin or later ? but it could be close to this sketch "dar al-sultanat Kabul"
