Muhammad Khudabandah, 2 shahi (mahmudi), Qazvin, date off (but probably 984 or 985 H), Album 2618, 4.71 gm, 22 mm.



Coin collecting has a curious name. It is also called the "Hobby of Kings".

Legend, Mint and date
" غلام امام محمد مهدی علیه و آبائه السلام سلطان ابوالمظفر محمد پادشاه بن طهماسب الحسینی خلدالله ملکه وسلطانه , ضرب قزوين ۹۹۴ " , Ghulam-i Imam Muhammad Mahdi 'alayhi wa aba'ihi al-Salam, Sultan abu'l-Muzaffar Muhammad padshah, ibn Tahmasp al-Husseiny khallada 'Allah mulkahu wa sultanahu, Zarb Qazvin 994, meaning, "Slave of Imam Muhammad Mahdi peace upon him and his fathers, the father of Victory, Sultan Muhammad Shah, son of Tahmasp Shah al-Husseiny, may God preserve his sovereignty and sultanate, struck in Qazvin 994".
Mint " Zarb Qazvin ضرب قزوين " at the bottom 6 O'clock. The date is " 994 ۹۹۴ " at two O'clock (two digits " 94 ۹۴ " are visible).
Reverse (First photo):
Field: Shiite formula (Kalima) " لا اله الا الله محمد رسول الله علی ولی الله ", La illah l'Allah Muhammad rasul Allah, 'Ali wali Allah.
Margin: the names of the Twelve Shiite Imams: حسن (علی) حسین (علی) محمد جعفر حسین موسی علی محمد علی محمد , "  hasan, 'ali, husayn, 'ali, muhammad, ja'far, husayn, musa, 'ali, muhammad, 'ali, muhammad ".
Please note that the legend on the second photo is shared between the field and the margin or may be the engraver left out few words. Most of the legend is visible within the center field.
