Nice to find in the plethora of weblogs treating coinage: an inside view of the Medieval European Coinage series, that great book series of systematic numismatics started by Philip Grierson in the early 80s.

It was written by Leeds-based young medieval scientist Jonathan Jarrett as part of his blog A Corner of Tenth-Century Europe. That period might be pivotal for Jarrett, but in reality he treats various bridges from Antiquity to the Middle Ages. In general, it is a joy to read - and digress, with all the links and the very long blogroll of comparables.
