Aurelian

I think this an Aurelian billon (270-275 AD).  3.23g and 18mm.  Broke out better than I expected.  Looks much better in hand!

My bad...after more research I believe this a Maximian billon AD 293-4 (Sear Vol 4).

From 8 to 9 o'clock I read IMP C. The next letter would be an important clue for the name of the emperor, but I can't figure out what it is. The reverse text looks like VIRTVS AVGG with Jupiter (?) handing Victory to the emperor. The legend does occur on Maximianus' coins, but the design doesn't.

An unidentified coin is a piece of metal. An identified coin is a piece of history.
