Bhutan

Dear members,
I recently inherited a few coins and would appreciate any inputs regarding attribution. The coin appears to be copper. My apologies for not having information about weight and size.

Thanks.

The denomination is a deb (half rupee). These are difficult to attribute, so I am impressed with Gusev's guidance.

No.
For copper coins, denomination is Ma-tam or Che-tam (when the weight is less than 2.7 grams).
For silver coins there will be a Deb rupee (see photo) ..

I stand corrected. I was following the explanation in Krause, which apparently is in error.
I see there's an explanation of these denominations in Numista at
½ Rupee / Deb (Period III) - Bhutan – Numista

Krause and Numista have many mistakes.
See the Zeno professional numismatic website.
