Beijing Metro Token

Beijing Metro Token.  Said to have been used in the early 1990's for a short time. After that it was used for the public restrooms. When the restrooms became free, the company took back all of the tokens.  White Metal.  25mm.

I was there at the time. Don't remember seeing it, but didn't use the underground. Don't remember any public toilet either, except the amazingly disgusting "pissoir" near the entrance to the restored portion of the Great Wall the tourists go to. The Chinese characters mean the same as the French underneath. >:D
