Akbar, damri of Bhakhar mint 9(9)4 AH
« on: November 12, 2019, 02:24:21 PM »
This is a scarce mughal copper coin struck at  Bhakhar, written "Bakkar / بکر" .
a damri (1/8 dam) of Sindh coins type with a six pointed star on both faces / 2,30g
obverse : "Akbar" in center
reverse : "bakkar" in center with the date : "994" (could be 984 ?)
the date is not easy to detect... (a coin dated xx5 AH also exists)

Thank you  :)
I have this piece for many years and the mint was labelled as "Nagar"; both writings are indeed very close...
