Danish India, Tranquebar: Frederik III (1648-1670) Pb Cash (UBJ-106; Gray-84e; KM#78)

Obv: Crowned F3 monogram
Rev: Cross, with J O below cross, blundered version of J C for "Jesus Christ"

A gallery of my coins can been seen at FORVM Ancient Coins

A puzzling blunder. Surely, if you could write, you'd know the difference between a C and an O. Perhaps an indication that these coins were made (but not designed) by Indian craftsmen.

An unidentified coin is a piece of metal. An identified coin is a piece of history.
