Opening of the New Royal Exchange, maybe
« on: October 05, 2019, 10:30:00 PM »
This 24 mm medalion is for the opening of the New Royal Exchange, but I can't find a match. The obverse is Prince Albert, right, around whichPrince Albert Born August 26 1819 with a blundered makers name W. Crippen? London.
Reverse is a common type opening medal.
It struck me odd that the birthdate of the Prince should feature here but then I remembered the SS Great Britain medal featured the same obverse. I am left wondering, is this a mule?
