Sharing another rare coin, Akbar Lakhnau mint Rupee. Broad flan coin. Mint is out of flan, the year might be 969 ( My guess from the worn-out digits).

11.18 Gm. x 25 MM

A very early issue of this mint and difficult to see the mint-name unless the coin is of very large size ( More than my coin)
There is one specimen on Zeno 29 MM - Zeno - Oriental Coins Database - Akbar, Rupee, Lakhnau, AH967

Indeed, jaspersaini, even for a non-expert like me this is a noteworthy coin. Judging from the many shroff marks it spent quite some time with the shroffs and we know the shroffs were withdrawing older coins, so it is a bit of a miracle it survived. Fortunately, it is now in the hands of a collector who appreciates its history.

An unidentified coin is a piece of metal. An identified coin is a piece of history.
