Couple more :-)  Pictured Rocks I've visited.  DC...I've spent way to much time there!  (If I ever go back it would too soon 🧐  Added...Everglades and Hot Springs :-)

Fort Moultrie and (wonderful place to visit) Shenandoah.  Again, my apologies for the chocolate...we store our change in used trailmix jars 🤪  Added, Ozark Riverways.  Better picture, still working the lighting.

Yes, I have a thing about volcanoes ;-)  Hawaii (not as cool as Etna).

Added, my old stomping ground, New Mexico, Chaco Culture.  (I've an infinity for native American cultures as well :-)  Side story, friend of mine from school inherited a 5000 acre ranch in norther New Mexico.  He curranty runs about 2000 head of cattle but has invited us out to explore...and I quote "bring your medal detectors because you never know what you might find".  I think that might have to happen this fall :-)  Utah Arches added, another cool place to visit if you ever get a chance!

I hope everyone is enjoying the posts.  Unfortunately we are going to have to look around for a number that we are lacking.  We'll work on that 🙂

That is beautiful!  Only thing missing is me in the background with my 2020 😁  Here is the Great Smoky Mountains in Tennessee.  Beautiful around this time of year!  I'm amazed at how much this sight has grown!  Very cool.  Added (I've never been but would like to someday).  Apostle Islands (that's me in my kayak...not really ;-)

Seems that the current ATB Quarters series will come to an end in 2021. Instead of doing "another round" of the program, there will be a new quarter dollar design - with George Washington on both sides. ;) One side would show his portrait as usual; the other side "is to reflect Gen. Washington crossing the Delaware River prior to the Battle of Trenton during the American Revolution." (Source)

I live very close to the site of Washington's crossing, but have never really visited it. Driven by many times, but... :)

Normal. I live close to the Eiffel tower. Haven't been up there for well over half a century. You keep saying you'll do it one day.

An unidentified coin is a piece of metal. An identified coin is a piece of history.

Emanuel Leutze, the artist who created the famous "Washington Crossing the Delaware" painting, lived here in Düsseldorf for many years. In fact, the gym where I go is in a street named after him. ;)  However, it seems that the quarter will not simply be a copy of Leutze's work but be based on it ...

It will be interesting to see the new rendition, Christian. I suspect it won't change a lot as Leutze's image is well known to us.

Came across a couple today that we didn't have :-)  Georgia and Minnesota.  I've been to Georgia and would very much like to visit Minnesota some day.  Ducks!  Again, shot gun required  8)  Isn't that Georgia beautiful?

Better picture of my favorite...I can see that as me :-) OK, maybe about 20 years ago.  Wonderful coin.

Added...just found this one.  I've spent a bit of time on Guam.  There is an observation site overlooking the landing beaches.  Pretty amazing history (especially  considering my Grandfather was there.)
