Danish gas token
« on: July 30, 2019, 02:34:13 PM »
My first reaction was "a gas token from the Dutch city of Assen". I quickly found out that this was wrong. The diameter, the coat of arms, the blank reverse were all wrong. Uncle Google came to the rescue. A gas token of Assens in Denmark.

I don't have any documentation on this token and haven't found anything on the net, so here goes for posterity: smooth edge, 2.3 gram, 17.1 mm, looks like copper-nickel.

An unidentified coin is a piece of metal. An identified coin is a piece of history.
