I would like to subscribe to Money Trend but I am having difficulty understanding their site and subscription form (i do not read German). I tried to send them an e-mail regarding payment by Paypal but I have not received a response.  Could anyone offer guidance or assistance.  I live in the USA. Thank you.

There is nothing on payment on the web site, so they will bill you later with payment conditions and data. Within Euroland, that would be enough for a free transfer. In other countries, it means you pay for the transfer. They wouldn't care if the money comes from a Paypal account or from a regular bank, as long as it lands in their account.

You must pay the cost of the transaction. In European terms, you should explicitly select OUR (I pay transfer cost) and not SHA (we share transfer cost) or BEN (beneficiary pays transfer cost). As PayPal is screechingly expensive (also true for Western Union), I recommend that you check the transfer cost of your bank and of an online transfer for cost comparison. It is likely that the online transfer will come out cheapest. This will make a significant difference on an annual payment of €132.

You should be aware that you will only get 11 issues of the electronic version of the magazine and that the magazine is in German. If you don't read German, its use to you will be quite limited.

You may know that "Money Trend", or rather the publishing house behind it, went bankrupt earlier this year. The April 2020 issue was the last one. :-\

The magazine was founded in 1969, and thus had its 50th anniversary last year. However, publisher Gerd-Volker Weege (who had taken Money Trend over in 1996) had died in May 2018. Whether the publishing house could have continued to exist with him, well, that is a moot point. Similarly, the pandemic probably affected the budget - hardly any auctions to report about, fewer ads - but we (hmm, I) do not know the details.

In summer the magazine was acquired by Dr. Winfried Frühwald (publisher, auction house) from Salzburg, AT. And in December the first issue of the "new" Money Trend will be available. Part of the restructuring plans is to take Eastern Europe into account more than before; the magazine will also be partly multilingual. And no, that does not necessarily mean English. ;)

As an introductory offer, some customers can get the first issue (Dec-2020) for free. In the future, an annual subscription (11 issues) will be €95. Single issues bought at newsstands will be more expensive. The website is here: Money Trend.
