An unusually large collection of opalised dinosaur bones will be the subject of an intensive research and preservation project after being discovered by opal in Lightning Ridge. (Australia)

Amazing. I had never heard of opalised fossils. As if finding a fossilised dinosaur isn't spectacular enough by itself.
