UK Commemorative coins for 2020

The 2020-dated Christmas 50p coins will no longer become available. It remains unknown why The Royal Mint so suddenly stopped selling them. Certainly as the sale of the 2019-dated Christmas 50p coins was not stopped.

Any further updates on this? Seems strange that they have stopped selling it.

I asked The Royal Mint, this was their reply:

"The Snowman 50p coin was part of our Christmas Celebration range. Therefore, when this popular product sold out from then current stock (noting all limited mintages did sell out), a decision was made not to replenish these lines in respect of unlimited mintage items as it was unlikely that new stock would be available until well into the new year".

Mystery solved, thanks eurocoin. Assume that the mintage level was based on previous years' sales.
