ANA / Royal Mint medal
« on: July 08, 2019, 12:17:27 PM »
The Royal Mint quite often has a presence at large coin shows in the US. They advertise and sell their products, give demonstrations, and generally make themselves known to the numismatic community here. I believe they always attend the American Numismatic Association shows, the largest and most prestigious in the country.

This medal / token was likely distributed by the mint and the ANA at their 2002 national convention in New York.

Always Faithful

Striking how characteristic it is for the Royal UK mint. There's the unavoidable heraldry, but with a modern looking font, US style flag-waving and skyline and the "special relationship". How quick things can change...

An unidentified coin is a piece of metal. An identified coin is a piece of history.
