Many members from Mumbai. Any one sure to attend?
I will be there with an exhibit. I have a plan to exhibit around 5 frames on the theme - Silver Rupees of Ahmedabadin the name of the Mughals. It will cover all Rupees issued in the name of the Mughal Emperors from Akbar to Muhammd Akabar II at the mint at Ahmedabad that are in my collection. I believe that it will cover all coins except the Zodiacs of Jahangir (which still elude me).
I have a plan of preparing an elaborate catalogue of coins of Ahmedabad with a fair amount of details of dates missing in both the currently used catalogues - SAC&PM (KM) and LIDDLE.
Would be happy to meet up with any WoC member who visits. I should be at the fair all three days - most of the time - mostly somewhere near the exhibits but not necessarily at all times. Please PM me and we can fix up a convenient time or share contact numbers.

We have so many members from the Mumbai area. Grab your chance. Asm is not just an advanced collector who can instantly provide insights you didn't have before or a numismatic contact you need to answer a question, but he's also a really nice guy. If I were around, I'd cancel the meeting at Bollywood to meet him ;)

Extremely heavy rains are expected (in the tune of 300 mm plus, 500 mm plus for some interior areas) in Mumbai starting tomorrow, until the weekend due to a cyclonic situation, a red warning is already in place. Keep your umbrellas handy (even that may not be sufficient). :)

Well, tickets are booked and are non refundable. So as well try my luck. So also the Hotel. I believe flooding is not so severe in South Bombay. So will try my luck.

Absolutely no rains so far (it did rain last night but wasn't heavy if compared to Mumbai's definition of heavy rains ;)). The red alert too has been withdrawn, only moderate showers with couple of intense showers are expected now. Won't lead to any disruption now.. :)

I don't know why we trust weather forecasts and don't trust voting polls ;D

This edition has been one of the biggest I have seen in Mumbai. Instead of the normal 100 or less stalls, we have almost 120 stalls, over 50 display frames and the condition came to be such that the organizers had to change the place of the auctions by hiring another space in the adjoining building.
The crowd on Friday was something one does not see even on a Sunday. May be the Waring of Heavy rains - and the fact that it did not rain much ensured a rush on Friday - lest rains over the weekend would cause a problem.

Pictures of my exhibits at the fair - Due to rush, the number of frames alotted to be was reduced from 5 to 4 at the last minute.
