Safavids, Shah Sultan Husayn I, AH 1126/1714 AD, Oblong 5 Shahi, Erivan (Yerevan Armenia) Mint (1105-1135 AH/1694-1722 AD)

Obverse: “ بنده شاه ولایت حسین ضرب ایروان “, bandeh shah-e velayat, Husayn, Zarb Erivan, date is “ 1126 ۱۱۲۶ ” at 11 O’clock.
Reverse: Shiite formula (Kalima) “ لا اله الا الله محمد رسول الله علی ولی الله ”, meaning, “no god but God, Muhammad is the messenger of God, ‘Ali is the chosen one of God”.
Shah Sultan Husayn, son of Sulayman I, was enthroned in AH 1105 (1694 AD), and abdicated under pressure from the Afghan invaders in AH 1135 (1722 AD). He was murdered by his Afghan mentors in AH 1142 (1729 AD).

I agree and have never been able to find in the chronicles of the time a description of the coinage of these persian oblong copper or silver coins. These  are found at least from Shah 'Abbas time.
Their regular thicknesses and clear traces of cutting lead me to think that these flans could have been cut from a copper bar or a big copper wire  (+/- 9mm diam) before being struck.
Oblong civic coppers often printed from circular dies don't show any overthickness at ends as we would expect after a vigorous hammer strike.
These coins which, on the other hand, are randomly centered could well have been printed using a rolls machine ?
