Cleopatra VII

I finally identified this one.  AE 40 drachmai of Alexandria.  Cleopatra VII.  Not the prettiest...but pretty cool :-)

Yup! You got the design absolutely correct. Next, metal and weight should get you closer to the id. Metal is copper. You can see a whole lot of examples of this type here. Click on the pictures to make them bigger.

Awesome!  I get a kick out of showing my really crusty coins on WoCs...these folks call them out in no time.  I spend three months and they take an hour :-(  Guess I should get better.

Some are easier than others.  I've got about 20 coins that I just have no clue.  World of Coins is pretty amazing (just saying ;-) Some of the most knowledgeable folks I've ever come across and I do appreciate them.
