Turkey 20 para, 1277 yr 4, countermarked with incuse tugrah in circle countermark, M&L T/11 (Constantinople?)
Turkey 20 para, 1277 yr 4, countermarked with 'B/[1]315' in circular incuse countermark, M&L TRK 02/01 (Dardanelles area)
Turkey 20 para, 1277 yr 4, countermarked with 'B/[1]315' in circular incuse countermark, M&L TRK 02/01 (second example)

Beautiful countermarks. Which publication are your references from?

MacKenzie, K.M. and Lachman, S., Countermarks of the Ottoman Empire 1880-1922, (1974) old and probably well out of date, but it is the only reference I have.

Samuel Lachman! Yes, hes probably out of date, but I hope hes still alive. A formidable collector.

According to a specialist in these the stamp of Tarabulus belongs to Tripolis ad Pontum (Black Sea).

It could well be, as I said my reference is rather old. I assume this is Tripoli in Bithynia: I can find references to it, but no precise location, can your source give me the coordinates so I can update my database?
