« on: March 29, 2019, 07:32:44 AM »
I was surprised to see that not a single dam of Aurangzeb Alamgir is uploaded here. So here is the first one. Weight 13.84 g

Will add more in a few days. Also request other friends to post a few coppers

Soon after Aurangzeb came to the throne, he introduced the light weight dam or Falus which is seen in the 12.5 to 14 g range.

Yes Aurangzeb coppers are available in the 5 - 10 - 20 g range as well as the 6.5 - 13.5 g range. Not sure if the 3 g coin is also minted though it should have been.

Aurangzeb onward, we have most rulers having double weight standard issues - 20 g dam (in some cases going beyond 22 g) and the 13.5 g Dams.
