I have an example of this one,  it's flan is poorly shaped like yours is

Interestingly, one side looks round enough, while on the other side two opposite pressure points disturb the roundness and create an impression of a square coin. It looks like the still hot flan was picked up by tweezers, presumably for fast cooling in water.

Is G&G D931 a special type?

Peter, may be your assumption is right.
Have seen three other example of D931, one in here WoC and two other in Zeno. All are round in shape. Have not seen Vics' coin yet. This may be lost its shape as like your assumption or may be any other reason.

Here is mine,  not quite as misshapen as Soumens but alongside 30 other Paisas in my tray it's very obvious
