not sure, but possibly Otho


I am not sure, but I think that this is an Alexandrian Otho coin. They did not actually have a picture of him, which is why their coins looked nothing like him. If it is an Otho, and an Alexandrian one, that would make it very rare. I would like some help to be sure :) It is 27 grams, and is 30 millimeters.

The obverse bust resembles Otho's Greek provincial coinage, but I did not find a reverse with a bust resembling this one. Also, that sort of bull-necked stumpy bust pictured more than one emperor in that era (as you note), so there are other candidates.
