Only a few months back, a group of members of WoC enjoyed the hospitality of the Numismatic Society of Ireland (NSI). Now, we have agreed to extend that fun moment to all members of both sides on this site. Members of NSI will become members of WoC. They will have their own board, visible to all WoC members, but they can also participate in all WoC activities. The board will appear soon and you will see an influx of new people, their knowledge and their experience. Please welcome them.

Good idea, hopefully it will be successful. Welcome new members of the NSI!

I see this as another win-win co-operation, like what we have with numismatique.fr  NSI wins a tested, spam-free communication platform, open to the world and offering many services from free downloadable numismatic books to enthusiastic expertise on coins in Arabic, Karoshti, Chinese and other scripts as well as access to French experts. WoC wins a group of advanced collectors, ready to share their expertise. Hey, numismatique.fr also wins: access to first class knowledge of Irish numismatics. Nobody loses.

I think it will work because - as with numismatique.fr - both groups are non-commercial and devoted to good research as well as good fun.

Time to revive this idea, I think.

Good idea! Let's work on it.
