I can read falus & ra'ij on one side but the remainder worn off. might be the end of the date visible

The other side shows the mint but I cannot make it out as it's clearly not Kabul but more likely ending in pul

Maybe this is not Afghan or Iranian but  central Asian?

I had a rummage around my catalogue of pre-modern central Asian coins but didn't find anything...
always willing to trade modern UK coins for modern coins from elsewhere....

Dear Vic, on the second photo it reads: " Zarb pol ضرب پل ", pol means bridge and the mint place could be " Amir Bridge امیر پل " wherever that is or something else? At least we know that the mint place includes the word " Bridge ".

Coin collecting has a curious name. It is also called the "Hobby of Kings".

Afghan civic copper of Sar-i pol

That's an unusual mint saro,  several examples on zeno give it as sar-i-pul, all extremely crude compared to this one which also bears the word ra'ij

An unpublished type it seems ! in pretty condition :applause:
The city / province name is alternatively translated as "Sar-i Pol / Sar-e Pol / Sar-i Pul"; S. Album has adopted "Sar-i Pol"
