Qajars, Nasir al-din / 50 dinars of Tabriz mint

copper / 9,25 g , date not clear ?
"zarb dar al-sultanat Tabriz"+ date /  "fifty dinars" & lion & sword facing left / vertical milling

Post reform 50 dinars were struck at six mints between 1292 and1294 AH : Teheran, Isfahan, Qazwin, Tabriz, Shiraz & Kashan.
These coins are scarce today (Teheran and Isfahan mints are the less scarce and Kashan the rarest
I haven't been able to find a picture of this one on catalogues...
The design is similar to Valentine n°116 (p.147) dated 1219 but with lion to right (handstruck and without 50 dinars denomination)

Why would this be considered to be machine struck I wonder?  it's flan is not properly round and the dies are not well centred

You are right, this coin is clearly hand struck  ...however with an additional work on the rim  .
Three coins of this type are listed on KM as civic coppers : KM24 (Kashan mint) A35 (Qazwin mint) & A43 (Teheran mint).
Are they so scarce that no pictures are available for the other mints?
