there is a crack on this coin near the "IN" of INDIA,how did this happen

This seems like retained die break / cud error.

are these type of errors common or scarce

These are quite common and I have seen them mostly on FSS coins.

This is struck through error. During striking of the coin a foreign object, in this case a wire kind of scrap came in between. This results in such Mark. A collectible, may fetch less than rs 100.
