Always good to see you happy, Gérard :) Congratulations with your latest acquisition. I think finding a cheap but elusive coin is incomparably better than just shelling out money for an expensive coin available everywhere.

I can tell you more about the history of this coin.
It was the first coin of an independent Ukraine.
In 1995, to the 50th anniversary of the victory in the Great Patriotic War (today in Ukraine this war is called the Second World War), the Moscow Mint minted a coin with a nominal value of 200 thousand karbovanets. Ukrainian artist A. Ivakhnenko on the reverse depicted the letter "y" with a "tail".
But at that time it was a tradition to congratulate war veterans and give them cheap gifts. These coins were planned to be presented to veterans in a festive atmosphere.
The terms for making coins were short and the engraver was in a hurry and wrote the letter "y" as "X".
Therefore, the first 10,000 coins have an error. After that, 240,000 coins were minted without error.

As a result, a coin with an error began to be sold much more expensive.
War veterans received a good gift.  :)

Good price.
I have an interesting coin 2 hryvnia "Kondratyuk". This coin also has an error in design, but this is a mistake by the artist.
I will show this coin and tell the story.
