Dear Friends

Former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee was born on 25 December 1924. He was tenth PM of India and very popular among masses as well as politicians across party lines. He was a poet as well as great orator.

Although Vajpayee ji's centenary falls in 2024, but considering the fact that we will certainly see a general election in 2019 and that the inherent uncertainty in a democracy regarding the returning in power, I will not be surprised if commemorative coins are issued in his honour.

I am hearing some whispers through my friends.

I am keeping my fingers crossed. Will keep you posted.

In a bonanza or making it heavier on pockets, the Mumbai Mint has opened bookings for Paika Bidroha and Atal Bahari Vajpayee coins. I couldn't find the Mint Booking Advert, maybe in some other news papers. However the bookings are open on Mint Website.

Booking are Open from 4-Jan-2019 to 4-April-2019. The Atal Bahari Vajpayee Proof is at 2825 and UNC at 2615. The Paika Bidroha Proof is at 2825 and UNC at 2615.

pufff... last and this month major of my income has gone to coins... Now again another two which I was looking to buy them. If this is the case then sure collectors will become bankrupt and still have money in the form of coin sets!!

Is this the normal packing or some VIP Packing? Some dealers are offering this as VIP Set.

Dispatch of Vajpayee and Piaka coins have begun from Mumbai mint. The packaging is different and not the Blister pack. The coin is air tight coin capsule. The capsule is in a box. The top of the box has a nice design.

Exactly like the image posted by Abhayji. Except for the paper bag.
