The BBC a few days ago shared this quite interesting video on Facebook that they came across in their archives.

Very informative film. Interesting to see how it was done in those days. And there was a glimpse of designer Leslie Lindsay. The pound coin was not liked by the Manx, though. It was too thin and too close to the 5 pence coin in size, despite what Mr Pobjoy maintained.
