This is a fun little coin,

Luigino's it seems were minted across Europe usually in dubious circumstances,  some were made by the French feudal state of Dombes... but this is a copy of a Dombes Luigino made by the Italian state of Tassarolo - which adds another layer of dubiousness...

I am impressed, andyg. This is a coin with a complicated and very interesting story. For later use: the story is here.

this can be added to that thread if you like...

Thanks, but maybe not. Some Luiginos are French, others, like yours, Italian, some Dutch. I'd like to get them on the appropriate boards where possible, but a link to the "story" thread is nice.

Great coin!  I've one that you can almost read...but not quite :-(

It's important to read as much as possible, Greg. The Luiginos have a fantasy text. Even a small fragment can show its status.
