Sri Lanka, 10 rupees, 2013.

Look at the musical notes coming out of that fish's mouth. Cute, eh? But fish don't sing.

These do. Well, at least people in the Batticaloa area believe that others have heard them sing. :)

The audio documentary is long - does the sound of these fish occurs anywhere on it?

But if there is a lot of anecdotal evidence for it, then I will have to accept it. After all, we have no veridical evidence that anyone has ever had a night dream, only anecdotal evidence, but we accept it.

Taiwan, 1 yuan, 1969.  FAO issue.

This looks more like a Communist Chinese issue - but it is not. Nice design, though.

But fish don't sing.

One of my friends was stationed in Greenland for some time. He is convinced whales sing. So there.

Yes, whale song is well known. Nobody has been able to work out what tune they are singing, because they muffle the lyrics.

It's not about the woman, it's about the hand tractor. The Taiwanese are saying "mine is larger than yours". Below is an example of a mainland Chinese hand tractor.

I see. I'm not very knowledgeable about agriculture. As long as my local supermarket supplies my needs, I'm happy and don't think about it.

What is this on the ground, to the left and right? I hope it's not what I think it is.  :-X
