You got me wrong, Aditya. The coins are Genuine, only the packing is privately made.

I wonder why don't they show the name of issuing authority (mint/government)? ::)

Sorry for the confusion.

Today, I received my UNC and Proof Sets of Dr. Homi Bhabha from the Mumbai Mint.

Here are some images.

Dear Friends

I also received my sets couple of days back. I noticed that the quality of coins is good but the quality of packing is very bad:

(a) Film which houses coins is not fully transparent (light marks are there). If coin is not viewed carefully, it appears if the coin itself has stains.

(b) Width of outer sleeve is at least 10 mm more than the width of inner booklet. As a result, the sleeve is crushed when we stack the proof sets one above another.

(c) Many gum marks (dark colour) on the booklet.

(d) Paper of booklet is very inferior (bends easily). Mumbai Mint could have used stronger/tough paper for making sleeve.

(e) I also noticed that Mint has not given a short life history of Bhabha. Same was true for Alphonsa.

It now appears that the mints are out only to make a fust buck .....by hook or by crook.....Collectors can pay and go to hell or where ever. I have stopped buying the UNC and Proof sets last six months.
