AFAIK, that collection was disbursed. After the auction, unsold items were offered at ridiculous prices to the participating buyers.

I was informed ( perhaps wrongly) that only foreign coins were auctioned off.
Many Egyptian coins, some of them with low mintage ( minted to please the King) were not sold but transferred to some museum.

Since he was King only upto 1952, most of the coins would be older than that. Since this museum concentrates on Egyptian coins after 1950, much of his collection, even if available, may not be suitable.
