BAT, 2 pounds, 2019.  The launching of RSS Sir David Attenborough.

RSS = Royal Research Ship.

David Attenborough is an English broadcaster and natural historian.

I do not know whether Mr Attenborough is widely known outside the UK.
Visit the website of The Royal Mint Museum.

See: The Royal Mint Museum.

The 2019 50p showing Boaty McBoatface pointing to the right was for the ceremonial naming of RSS Sir David Attenborough. Strange design though as it gives more prominence to the AUV than to the research vessel.

The 2019 5-coin penguin series features all of the breeding species of penguin found on Antarctica and the three (Chinstrap, Adélie and Gentoo) found on the South Orkney and South Shetland Islands.
