Quite attractive, this very common Czech 50 kr.
« on: July 04, 2018, 11:17:07 PM »
On a short visit to Prague, this attractive coin measuring about 28 mm turns out to be very common change. It shows a condensed view of Prague, exqusitely lightened up in yellow against the red copper. And the double-tailed lion is quite a dandy.

In my humble opinion, it is the most beautiful circulating coins all over the world.

I’m afraid I gave my small cash to a street artist today, so I can’t add to that. But feel free to show us some pictures.

I still have one or two (plus other denominations) from my visit last winter, if anyone is interested. In fact, I took a similar picture of the castle in fading light, possibly from the same bridge. However, it had too little light to come out well, making me enjoy yours even more. I hope you enjoy Prague at least as much as I did.

This small change is a bit less nice, artistically, to my taste. 1 Czech crown is 4 eurocent, you can't buy anything with it, although Czechia is not an expensive country.

The 1 and 5 Kč coins I find a little "simple" compared to the nice 50 Kč piece. Now the 2 Kč coin I like better, and I also find the 10 and 20 pieces attractive. Images from the central bank:
