Mintages of Euro coins
« on: July 04, 2018, 06:45:17 PM »

Knowledge of coin issuance by country can be very useful. Based on the published mintage one can observe presence or absence of the issuance in a particular year, as well as the mintage variance from year to year and even estimate the value of the particular coin.

Now all the information about the mintages of Euro coins is available on the portal

It contains official mintages of Euro coins issued for regular circulation [Uncirculated (UNC) grade]and collector issues [Brilliant Uncirculated (BU) or Proof grades].

Detailed information is available regrading special issues/packaging formats (coins in sets, blisters, coincards). Data is grouped into tables and divided by the Eurozone countries. Tabulated text augmented with asterisks, pop-up suggestions, key information (for example coin grade) is highlighted in color. In the future images of coins and sets will be added.

For the convenience of collectors, we tried to compile mintage information in a consolidated place. With the aid of the reference, you will find mintage information regarding any of eight denominations as well as 2 Euro commemoratives. Knowing the mintage of a particular coin is essential criterion for estimating potential value.

Our coin mintage database is assembled from the official information published by National banks and Eurozone mints.

For the sake of evenhandedness, the numbers can also be obtained from this site, maintained by one of our members. Note that the site also offers an app-based data base of euro coins. I would advice to try all and sunder and use what suits you best.

An unidentified coin is a piece of metal. An identified coin is a piece of history.
